The energy this week is both competent, forthright but can also engender an emotional roller coaster. if we’re home for the holidays or dealing with unusual friends and relatives, let’s think about our intentions is for the visit, because our feelings can be raw as Venus conjuncts Pluto, tactlessness abounds as verbal Mercury conjuncts determined Saturn in outspoken Sagittarius then trines energizing Uranus, and our competitive streak is strong as Mars semi-sextiles determined Pluto.
Let’s break this down. Here we are the day after Thanksgiving, an emotional time whatever our family or political perspective, and Venus conjuncts Pluto to bring up our strong heart; we become aware of how hard but important it is to love in the face of loneliness or loss, whether that is the fear of political loss or personal loss, whether the feeling is just poignant or becomes heartrending. That Venus-Pluto conjunction, which happens once a year or thereabouts, also asks a big archetypal question: how can the cultural Venus, the feminine within us all, not feel oppressed, but instead feel empowered. Loss, oppression, empowerment, rebirth are all aspects of Pluto, and we can choose which one we tune into with our Venusian hearts this weekend.
Thanksgiving weekend activates the Sagittarian yearly family holiday mini-series, abounding with unusual honesty, rife with both the breakthroughs and difficulties created when people speak their minds. And where, with gentle honesty, we can get down to a place of true gratitude. But it may be a good year to be particularly careful if we want to nurture connection more than severance, as feelings are tender, opinions entrenched, and hope is oxygen. Hold on to those good intentions.
Over the next week, as Mercury pulls way from a conjunction to determined Saturn, we still have astrological support to be efficient, and can feel a sense of urgency about our work or our community involvement, which can make it hard to take a break and enjoy the holiday weekend.
The Moon heads to sharp-edged Scorpio through the weekend and everyone will need some time alone in their own corners. If poked, people may reach out and sting. But we can continue to get real with one another and bond in the depths.
It takes us a while to arrive back after the holidays, Monday morning let everyone catch up on emails and get oriented, then begin to reconnect in the afternoon. Tuesday starts a new chapter with an energizing new Moon in Sagittarius. We crave difference, travel, and want to feel hopeful about the future, one way or the other. It’s time to launch new plans and keep the conversation going. But as the Sun squares confusing Neptune later in the week, we can understand what’s happening today very clearly, but the future is murky. Remember that the best way to build the future is to work here in the present, one foot in front of the other.
Friday, November 25: A Libra Moon encourages us to get along, but we may feel the heavy weight on our soul as Venus conjuncts Pluto and squares Jupiter. We need to break through a sense that to love is to lose, love is a power trip, or some people are stuck in the love of power, and instead find a way to love no matter what. Large waves of emotion swell up and down, but we can choose to steer the ship of our heart. Radical acts of compassion further.

Saturday, November 26: The Moon enters solitary Scorpio and the conversation grows more pointed. Mercury trines Uranus and sharpens debate, helps us focus on potential change. Let the mind range far, but focus on solving problems rather than defining difference. Give everyone time alone in their own corners as needed.

Monday, November 28: Give people a chance to arrive back from their vacation mind; our energy can feel loose and wandering this morning as the Scorpio Moon is void of course and slows our arrival time. The mood shifts radically as the Moon enters Sagittarius this afternoon and we are ready to interact and talk about the future. Reconnect today, initiate tomorrow.
Moon enter Sagittarius at 1:45 PM.
Tuesday, November 29: We start a new chapter, feel a desire to move and shift our life under aa new Moon in Sagittarius first thing this morning. Venus trines Uranus and inspires a willingness to shift gears and change everything. Let’s just not throw out what is working, but instead focus this restlessness on what is not. Bond over travel stories and a ruthlessly honest sense of humor.

Wednesday, November 30: Get to know a stranger while the Sagittarius Moon opens us to new possibilities and interests us in information from the outside world. Watch for the tendency to project one’s own feelings though, and know we can’t see particularly far ahead as the Sun squares Neptune. We may be clear about the present moment, but uncertain about the future. Use this Neptunian imagination consciously; imagine how things could be better, and help make them so.
